Oak Material – We choose hardwood oak for our best mats because we want the best product. Oak means slower rotting and a longer lifespan for your mats.
The crane mats manufactured by Quality Mat Company are of the highest grade oak timbers and can be custom sized for your project needs. Water cannot penetrate them. Crane mats are typically chosen for use in petroleum applications, construction sites, or other heavy equipment use on dry land.
Originally known as laminated mats, our interlocking mats are our most widely used mats. Constructed with our patented interlocking design, our oilfield mats are made of either mixed hardwood or oak laminated boards, depending on your needs. Choose oilfield mats when you need to build a temporary roadway, distribute large loads across a surface and reduce the environmental impact.
The ECOmat is fully synthetic without the hollow core of a traditional composite mat. A hollow core composite mat will transport any chemical it comes in contact with, when and if the hollow core is breached. This presents a challenge for the environmental side of using a hollow core mat. The synthetic ECOmat is also segmented, allowing us to construct the mat to almost any size, thickness, or diversity of materials. Our aim is to produce a mat that helps you achieve your goals, while also keeping the environment in mind.
In need of truck mats, mud mats or construction mats? Our laminated mats are the mat of choice by our customers with fewer load needs. The very popular 3 ply laminated mat is available in 12', 14' and 16 foot lengths for a variety of uses , including as swamp mats, temporary roads and ground protection. These cross laminated mats are strong, durable, and constructed with the same high-grade materials that our traditional wood mats are developed with. For concrete or general construction temporary roads, these lightweight laminated mats are highly maneuverable, a much requested benefit by contractors.
Our rig mats consist of eight independent wood sections made up of rough cut 2" x 6" treated pine nailed together for superior rigidity that’s needed in the toughest of construction jobs. All Quality Mat Company rig mats are made with 6 x 15 # beam cross members, setting our quality rig matting apart from other mats that are made with flat bar cross members, only. The average life of our drilling rig mats is approximately 10 years, though some have remained active for 15 – 20 years.
